Estate story
Nativ offers a wide selection comprising 22 distinct wines, specifically: four Cru wines, intrinsically linked to the local terroir; aromatic wines reflecting the characteristic notes of local Irpinian fruit; DOC and DOCG wines typical of Irpinia; and an IGT line that embodies the spirit of Campania. Each wine possesses a unique and unmistakable character, as it is produced using innovative winemaking methods that respect tradition, while always ensuring the organoleptic structure of the varietal remains intact. You can find Nativ in 18 countries and growing.
Central Campania
Located on the slopes of the pristine Taurasi hills, in one of the most suitable areas of Irpinia, the Nativ winery stands in the heart of Paternopoli, which traces its history to hermits who moved to the area in the 4th and 3rd centuries BC. Irpinia was inhabited in the 7th century BC by the Greeks, who had inherited from the Hellenes, their ancestors, the cult of Dionysus and his bacchantes, making this land the homeland of the "Hellenic vitis" from which Aglianico derives its name. Wine was first introduced to Italy by the Greeks via nearby Napoli and Cumae.

Producers
Founded in 2008 by by Dr. Mario Ercolino, an internationally renowned oenologist, and Dr. Roberta Pirone, a food science specialist, with the aim of producing great wines with origins of Irpinia viticulture. Nativ, as in "native to the place", reflects better than just about any other, the "Made in Italy" label. "The driving force behind the company is love and respect for the land and the vine, hence the creation of a profession, a way of life and of doing business."
Cellar philosophy
Nativ's modern production facility and cellar were built in 2024 to blend in with the natural surroundings of the Taurasi hills. Sustainability through material reduction and low-impact environmental footprints are important to their winemakeing process. Their operations are multi-certified and award winning.
Taurasi Vineyards
A significant portion of the vineyards are located along the ridge that connects the towns of Castelvetere sul Calore to Paternopoli, passing through Montemarano and Castelfranci. While the location is not publicized, their "Bicento" vines are some of the largest you'll see in just about any vineyard.
