Produced with part of the grapes from Sarmassa area. In the last vintages a part of the grapes was bought in Madonna di Como (an area on the hills of Alba) and an other part in Sinio. Langhe Nebbiolo is a wine which promptly meets the taste of the consumers because is less complex than the other wines of our selection. Of course the grape and the character of Barolo’s terroir always express a structured, powerful and elegant wine.

The story

It's a wine Federico loves to make, seeking an immediate and everyday expression of finesse. From a small vineyard in Terlo and several parcels in Sarmassa Cru, 250-550 meters in elevation, Calcareous and clayey soil. Sant'Agata fossil marl with a high percentage of stones. Annual production: 13,000 bottles.

Winemaking

From vineyard to bottle

Harvest

Manual harvest in the second middle of September, first half of October. Maceration with skins for 20/25 days depending on the vintage

Barrel

Ageing in 25Hl oak barrels and 500/600l oak tonneaux for 6/8 months

Bottling

Six months of ageing in the bottle
